Positions details:
  • Location: BayCare Alliant Hospital Integrated ICU Dunedin, Florida
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person

Requirements:
  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice -
CCRN, CDN or CNN
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing OR BS Healthcare related field OR an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion
  • 18-month's experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
The Charge Registered Nurse ICU responsibilities and skills:
  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient s medical condition
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
  • Professional accountability and development
  • Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
  • Developing self and team members and sharing organizational information
