SUMMARY The RN Quality Specialist creates, manages and evaluates education/training programs and services, develops related goals and objectives, recommends policies, and evaluates program outcomes. All educational offerings provided by the RN Quality Specialist should primarily be based on the Cognitive, Humanist, and/or Brain-Based Learning Theories. The role of the RN Quality Specialist may include, direct patient/family care, consultation, change agent, teaching/coaching/mentoring, research, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required Masters' Degree in Nursing preferred 5 years of Emergency Department experience High volume Emergency experience preferred. Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) through ANCC or CNE certification TNCC Instructor Status in BLS, ACLS or PALS preferred Equal Opportunity Employer-Minorities/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
