RN Quality Resource Nurse

Variable ECB is a variable position that has limited benefits Requires experience in Quality Assurance Job Summary: Coordinate quality and related safety/risk management projects and activities; assists Medical Director with quality/safety/risk management issues. Minimum Education: Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom. Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Nursing preferred. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License. Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills including Microsoft office products. Basic understanding of delivery care model in outpatient setting and an understanding of outpatient nursing and medical assistant tasks. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Review safety and risk management requirements. Review, update and create policies and procedures. Coordinate OSHA, infection control, tuberculosis, and hazard plans. Develop performance improvement programs and training. Coordinate committee meetings with medical director; coordinate special projects group and quality activities for Medical Practice Board. Liaise with SFHS, including Quality Risk Management, Epidemiology and Privacy officer. Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor. Working Relationship: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
