JOB TITLE RN Outpatient- ACT Program SUMMARY: Provides direct clinical and psychiatric nursing services to individuals and groups that seek treatment at Frontier Health. Participates in a variety of meetings at assigned hub and on a corporate-wide level designed to maintain high quality and efficiency in service delivery. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor's in nursing preferred. Licensure: Registered nurse licensed to work in state(s) of employment. Certification: N/A Experience: Experience as a staff nurse in a psychiatric setting preferred. Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations. CPR training. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Verbal/written communication skills EQUIPMENT: , Computer, fax machine, copier, thermometer, B/P cuff, scale and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide assessment counseling and supportive therapy to clients of the center when appropriate. 2. Assumes responsibility for management of clinical caseload, including: maintenance of appropriate contacts with referral sources, coordination of services with other professionals and agencies, follow up contact with clients as needed, record keeping of treatment assessment, goals and progress. 3. Administer prescribed medications. Perform venipuncture as ordered. 4. Provide patient/family education regarding medication and treatment diagnosis, and disease process. 5. Provides supervision when appropriate. 6. Performs in-services and community education services as required. 7. Responds to physician ordered nursing duties. 8. Provides case management for assigned clients as needed. 9. Provides nursing coverage as directed/scheduled. 10. Respond to urgent / emergent situations per protocol / current training. 11. Assist clients with obtaining medications through prior approvals formulary or indigent programs as needed. 12. Maintains safety and security of medications at site and conducts monthly inventory. 13.Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services and individual program planning staffings as needed. Participates in communities as directed. 14. All other duties as assigned.
