Now hiring for a full-time RN Nurse Manager for 21 bed Rehab unit.

Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Serving as a professional role model by providing leadership, support and guidance in close collaboration with Director of Nursing (DON), Human Resources or Facility Administrator, as needed. Ensure FBH policies are being followed.
  • Maintaining nursing staff job performance through multiple intervention practices, including education. Follow up on problem areas with employees and document as needed.
  • Ensuring nursing staff are providing a safe, healthy environment and utilizing proper techniques and approaches. Making frequent rounds on unit to ensure assignments/care are being completed.
  • Ensuring proper documentation is being completed by nursing staff.
  • Effectively communicating with Residents, families, vendors and the interdisciplinary team to provide a high quality of care.
  • Participating in compliance and quality improvement committees, audits and processes.
  • Completing nursing staff evaluations, coaching, educating and supervision.
  • Ensures continued delivery of high quality nursing care by monitoring direct care and conducting audits.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS RN license required at the time of hire.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available for Holidays, Weekends, or On-Call duties.
  • Supervisory and Rehabilitation/Sub-acute experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate skill in organizing, leadership, quality improvement, delegation, and communication.
  • Must have a basic understanding of medical terminology and community resources.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Must be able to respond with flexibility to unit needs.
  • Be a team player and work cooperatively with all staff in the facility.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply.)
  • Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with Residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances.
