A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RN NURSE MANAGER

As an RN Unit Manager at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you are responsible for overseeing the CNA Assignments (updating bath/shower schedule), Maintaining the nursing schedule (handling all call-ins and issues after the initial schedule is posted), New Admits and discharges, Weights (weekly and monthly), Labs (putting in labs for CLS and calling the doctor with lab results), Doctor Rounds (rounding with Medical Director and putting in orders), Wound Oversight (rounding with the Doctor, putting in orders, managing wounds on a daily basis), Charting Review (managing POC documentation, UDAs, and nurses notes). Candidates for this position must be flexible to cover call ins as needed, the position is Monday-Friday 11am-7pm and on call every other weekend.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN RN NURSE MANAGER

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in nursing leadership or supervisory roles, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance in nursing home settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
