RN New Graduate Nurse

EEO/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran The orientation is designed for New Graduate RNs who are looking for an entry-level nursing position. All new graduate RNs will be automatically be enrolled in a one year Vizient Nurse Residency Program, designed to effectively support new graduate nurses as they transition from student to confident professional. Graduates of the program learn to incorporate evidence based research into their daily practice to consistently provide high quality, safe patient care. The 1 year program will consist of a 3 month unit based orientation in which the new nurse is supported by a preceptor, nurse educator and local nursing leadership. Greenwich nurses will be assigned to a Nurse Residency cohort with nurses from across the health system based on their date of hire. Cohorts are scheduled to meet virtually once a month for 12 months. These monthly seminar meetings involve lectures, videos, journaling, evidenced based projects, research, and presentations from subject matter experts. Simulation will also be utilized to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to the acute care arena. Responsibilities Greenwich Hospital is hiring for New Graduate Registered Nurses in various specialties within the hospital to start in Summer 2024: Medicine SurgOrtho Intermediate Care To qualify, candidates must have an anticipated graduation date of May 2024.
