RN - Mobile Director of Nursing - Long Term Care
CommuniCare Health Services owns and operates over 130 facilities in 7 states. CommuniCare is currently recruiting an experienced DON to assume the role of Mobile Director of Nursing for CommuniCare facilities in Indiana. The Mobile DON will be required to travel throughout the state of Indiana to the various facilities as needed.

Do you have what it takes to join our team as Mobile DIrector of Nursing?

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN license in the state of Indiana
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience as DON
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and oversees functions at multiple facilities
  • Ability to travel, sometimes for an extended time, to facilities within the region, as needed.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • The ability to communicate well with employees and families about their issues
  • Must maintain current CPR certification

The Mobile Director of Nursing will be responsible to:

  • Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care
  • Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit, and training
  • Train new nursing management
  • Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
  • Aid in Plan of Correction process
