Job Summary

The Medical/Surgical Cardiac NorthTower Unit is a 45 bed fast paced unit that includes the post-surgical cardiacpatient population. This is a fast paced unit where we focus on patientsatisfaction, quality and teamwork together. You will provide safe andeffective nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. We providecare to patients with a primary cardiac diagnosis, including congestive heartfailure, chest pain, and arrhythmias. Weare trained to begin specific antiarrhythmic drugs, including IV Cardizem, IVAmiodarone, and oral Sotalol.

Qualifications Current license as a RN Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing 1+ Years of experience as a RN in an Acute Care setting preferred

Customer service abilities includingeffective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision in a fast pacedenvironment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing,bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipmentup to 50 pounds.
