Newly updated wage excellent benefits On Modern Healthcare Best Places to Work since 2010 Important things to know about the job: Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday, clinic hours - no nights or weekends. JOB SUMMARY: Communicates and collaborates closely with the providers, outpatient and inpatient nurse managers, wound care staff and other members of the healthcare team to provide consistent and quality care for patients with wounds. Assists the provider with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms; taking initial medical history for the chart; taking vital signs; making lab, x-ray, home health and supply orders; and explaining the preparations to the patients. The RN/LPN follows all partner facility, Wound Program, and nursing philosophies/standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities. He/she complies with standards of the Wound Program performing job duties and responsibilities and will demonstrate competence in these key job areas through the ability to perform job functions, including, but not limited to, the common examples listed. QUALIFICATIONS: State nursing license Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Previous demonstrated nursing experience CPR Certification within 30 days of employment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations to complete the necessary work schedule Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care and handle instruments Able to work in a latex burdened environment Able to speak clearly and distinctly with staff, providers, patients, and families Able to hear to converse with others on the phone Demonstrates adequate vision to prepare and read documents accurately
