This position, under the Director of Nursing, appropriately coordinates and supervises patient care as provided by the patient care team. RN will report to the House Supervisors daily to prioritize areas of focus. This care includes conducting initial admission history, complete entire discharge process to include all paperwork and patient exit. Assist with intravenous insertions, transfers between units, assist appropriate areas with discharge phone calls, development of a family centered patient care plans and care path, family centered patient teaching, the identification of and correction of variances from the patient care path and the facilitation of discharge planning.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required: Graduation from an NLN school of professional nursing. Minimum of 2 years of Nursing experience in an acute care setting. Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. Experience as a Staff Nurse in an acute care setting in multiple areas. License/Certification Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Current certification from the American Heart Association as a BLS provider. Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.
