Position & Department Overview - Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Day Shift
- 37 bed unit to include a dedicated 5-bed Behavioral Health Safe Suite located within the department.
- More than 53K visits per year (approximately 150 patients/day)
About this role:- You will demonstrate advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate the provision of patient/family-focused care to promote health and/or well-being improve quality of life; drive practice changes throughout the organization and ensure use of evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes.
- You will be providing expertise and support, either directly or indirectly, by influencing patients/families, nurses/nursing practice, and organization/systems through direct care, leadership, coaching, research, ethical decision making, collaboration, and consultation.
Minimum Requirements - Education: RN Master's Level Degree (6 year)
- Nursing Experience: Two (2) years
- CEN Certification (Certified Emergency Nurse) required.
- Virginia Clinical Nurse Specialist License in good standing.
- Virginia or Compact/Multistate RN in good stand required.
- BLS through AHA
- ACLS
- PALS

Must be certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as recognized by State Boards of Nursing. CNS registration with Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for Intermediate Care and Critical Care.
