We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RN Clinical Manager for our Surgical Services department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services and requires a dynamic individual who can balance the needs of patients, staff, and the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the surgical services department, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. They will also ensure that all services are compliant with CPD requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the surgical services department, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling board, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing patient wait times.
- Lead and supervise a team of nurses and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with CPD requirements, as well as other relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure integration and alignment of services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Monitor and manage department budget and resources.
- Address any issues or concerns related to patient care, staff performance, or department operations in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a current license and in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical services, with a focus on peri-operative patient care.
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of CPD compliance and other relevant regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a busy scheduling board and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with the ability to participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
