RN- Acute Med Surg Unit

Eligible for Bonus. Position Summary: To deliver care and create a therapeutic environment for patients and families whose needs range from basic to complex by utilizing the nursing process. To carry out functions in a manner consistent with Performance Improvement and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. To demonstrate clinical excellence through proficient practice which enhances and enriches the practice environment. Proficiency is evidenced by adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty. E100-Med/Surg: E100 is a medical-surgical unit with basic telemetry monitoring and a focus on orthopedics and neurology. Though it has these specialty focuses, it is a medical surgical unit, so you can expect to see a wide array of patients with various levels of acuity. You will be able to quickly grow your skills with our mixed patient population and their diverse medical diagnoses. WORK SCHEDULE: Work schedule may include 8-12 hours per day with weekend coverage based on individual unit needs and call based on departmental/unit needs. Personnel may be expected to cover for patient care needs by rotating or working extra shifts. Nursing personnel are assigned to one area upon employment, but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN strongly preferred. Specialty certification preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current registration in the State of NH as a Registered Nurse. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
