Job Description: We are looking for help researching and developing novel and innovative capabilities for cloud / enterprise application cybersecurity. The Reverse Engineer will analyze software applications to determine functionality and create proofs of concept to modify program behavior. This program involves hands-on work with embedded and server software applications, as well as potential real-world deployments in operational settings. This role calls for the creative application of multiple skill sets in a small, agile team that is working to develop and deliver advanced capabilities to our Sponsors. It's the kind of job where you get to poke holes in real systems and look for things that make you stop and go "huh, that's weird " This role will go from initial analysis of target systems all the way up to testing for reliability for mission-critical scenarios. Qualifications: A U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance w/SCI Eligibility. Experience with one or more disassemblers (IDA, Binary Ninja, Ghidra, etc.) Experience with modern static or dynamic program analysis techniques Experience with firmware and/or embedded systems reverse engineering Experience with one or more assembly languages (x86, MIPS, ARM, etc.) Experience with software development and testing in Python, C/C , or other languages Experience with modern exploitation techniques and mitigations (ASLR, DEP/NX, etc.) Experience with physical instrumentation: soldering, JTAG, Flash / ROM dumping (a plus) Experience discovering / weaponizing N-Day / 0- Day Vulnerabilities (a plus) Responsibilities: Reverse engineering of cloud/enterprise software applications and embedded devices Developing proof of concept assembly / C / python code for augmenting application functionality. Analyzing software / firmware to identify code and data regions of interest Instrumenting applications for analysis: using software debuggers to analyze runtime behavior; using JTAG/serial interfaces/etc. to enable debug. Pay Range: $115,000 - $174,000 per year
