Role: Retail Product Manager

Location: Claremont, NC (Onsite)

Required Skills:

  • 8 years of related techno-functional / Product Management experience.
  • Experience in discreet manufacturing, ideally using Microsoft Dynamics AX/Dynamics 365 for finance, inventory management and operations (purchasing raw materials, fulfilling purchase orders).
  • Experience with related manufacturing and supply chain operations, ecommerce and order management processes.
  • Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale Supply Chain projects from vision, requirements gathering, solutioning, and all steps of implementation (UAT, Training, hyper care).

Description:

Product Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, from inception to retirement, of IT products that are delivered to our customers, business associates and consumers. The job family manages the relationship between WS business functions and IT to provide IT product and user experience solutions to meet the needs of the business.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for domains of the highest complexity and strategic value
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Ability to identify the business organization's strength and weakness and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for developing BRD's, negotiating agreements, providing product/project leadership and expertise.
  • Possesses expert-level knowledge of technical design specifications and may lead technology peers to help develop solutions.
  • Possesses and often shares subject-matter expertise or in-depth technical knowledge, uses expertise to further development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Provides tactical work direction to team members.
  • Expert-level knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
  • Customer focused with high quality standards, must possess excellent presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal, business communication and project management skills.
  • Experience working in a retail technology organization, preferred.
  • Works on complex issues of highest complexity and strategic value where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including a broad understanding of current business trends.
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Acts as an advisor to associates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities can help organization achieve results and can impact the short-term and multi-year goals of the company.
  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group IC'S/managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
  • Regularly interacts with business leadership at all levels.
  • Often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
  • Provides work direction to other associates in group.
