$3000 Sign On Bonus."Pro-Rated" Eliot is seeking an experienced Peer Specialist with outstanding support skills, experience with mental health and treatment. The chosen person will be empathetic, and motivated to improve the lives of adult with mental illnesses. Our ideal candidate will be driven and able to develop lasting relationships with both the people we serve and their Respite Team Members. Eliot is a leader in the Behavioral Health realm and provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that are evidence based, provide rehabilitation and hope to those in services. Eliot is known for our innovative clinical approach, high quality clinical training and for having the most talented people in community behavioral health services. Responsibilities: Empower consumers to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their life. Assist consumers with identifying choices and developing skills in self advocacy. Facilitate peer recovery support groups at the respite program at least once per week in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that the consumer's perspective is always included, that preferences are recognized and choices are maximized. Provide training and consultation to staff to facilitate the understanding of consumer perspectives as needed. Provide guidance to consumers in the recovery process. Provide advocacy, support, and education during the evaluation and post-evaluation process. Assist consumers to identify personal methods of recovery from mental illness/substance abuse and to develop self management plans to address their recovery process. Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 11am-4pm (20 hours) Bonus Breakdown: Completion of one month's employment: $1,500 Completion of 6 months' employment (probationary period): $1,500 Eliot is committed to identifying and dismantling barriers that prevent people with marginalized racial identities from actualizing their full employment potential, assuming leadership roles, or from fully engaging at all levels in the workplace.
