Registered Respiratory Therapist Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $29.64- $44.46 hour - Full Time, Evenings. 36 hours a week. $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available for candidates with over 2 years in an RRT NICU specific role. +$2.50/hr for shifts. Boulder Community health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist. The RRT initiates and performs basic and advanced respiratory care techniques and with knowledge sets up, operates and maintains various types of respiratory care equipment utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. A RRT provides consultation and technical assistance to physicians, nursing personnel and other clinical personnel regarding respiratory care treatments, procedures and ventilator management. Responsibilities physician or licensed independent provider prescribed therapeutic or prophylactic respiratory care modalities such as medications, aerosol therapy, intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB), chest physical therapy (percussion, postural drainage, suctioning), incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, and others according to developed policies, procedures, and standards. up, operates, and monitors ventilators under the direction of a physician or other license provider. respiratory therapist assists the physician with intubation but does not perform independently. with ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation but does not perform intubation. pulmonary function studies, ear oximetries, EKG and initial orders within shift ordered, immediately on STAT orders. (After certified, draws arterial blood gas samples when necessary.) telephone or verbal physician orders onto the patient chart.
