Resource Specialist

Requirements / Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Possess a valid Special Education Specialist Instruction Credential OR meet eligibility requirements for Intern Program. 2. Appropriate documentation authorizing instruction to English learners. 3. Develops educational plans (IEPs) for the purpose of meeting the individual needs of exceptional students. 4. Two to three years successful classroom teaching experience is desirable. 5. Experience working with children with Autism and are knowledgeable about EBA (Evidence Based Programs) APPLICATION PROCEDURE: A complete application packet must include the following: 1. Employment application 2. Letter of Introduction 2. Resume 3. Three current letters of reference 4. Copies of credential(s) and transcript(s) Job Summary Job Summary The special education teacher provides research based intervention to students with special needs in an included or pull-out setting. The special educator may also provide instruction using standards based curriculum. Special education teachers help to develop. implement and monitor an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each special education student.
