Job Purpose
Developing and executing product and business strategy in a world of rapid technological and social change requires a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. Sustainability Development Business Unit is tasked with navigating the path for Honda's future Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric, and Energy products, services, and businesses. The team will focus on building and sustaining Honda's core brand values and enhancing brand image and competitiveness in the marketplace by innovating, incubating, selecting, developing, applying, and operating new businesses, features, products, and services with responsibility for their profitability, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction for Honda in North America.
Resource Circulation Unit is responsible for establishing Honda's North American Resource Circulation strategy and support the overall Sustainability strategy to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050. Specifically, Resource Circularity Market/System Analyst is responsible to lead and establish several key intiatives for a circular economy.
1) Lead and obtain executive approval for a new battery lifecycle business. This includes forming and management the relationships with various players in the automotive value chain, including dismantlers, EV battery recyclers and recycled material trading companies. This person will be responsible and the business point of contact to negotiate and lead to the execution of service agreements, adherening to Honda's targets and goals.
2) Lead in strategy development of an asset based system for EV batteries. Produce executive reports by investigating, identifying, proposing and implementing circularity solutions to maximize the use and value of EV batteries. Develop tools and solutions to find a paths to achieving company's financial, operational and sustainability metrics while meeting future competitiveness for all Honda products.
Key Accountabilities
Lead strategy development of Honda's new battery lifecycle business: Research, analyze and correlate business, policy, regulations and operations to propose new business opportutnies for Honda, specific to proposals focusing on EV Battery SOH and market value.
Manage strategic projects and committees cross-functional and cross-division teams towards common goals, for an comprehensive automobile resource circulation, focused on the EV battery lifecycle.
Create new new analytics process to contribute to new asset business model development - Investigate, analyze, create, propose and implement new opportunities for future Resource Circularity monetization business. Manage influences from EV use to end-of-life collection, to recycling and reuse of materials.
Budget Management - Responsible to plan, review and submit budget plans and shopping carts and invoices for assigned projects.
Develops policies to increase efficiency by necessary process changes throughout the RC supply value chain while ensuring quality and safety
Create and obtain new asset business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, makes, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- BA/BS in engineering, business, or MBA
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years managing major projects and complex initiatives
- Minimum 5 - 7 years developing and implementing new business and plans to meet future objectives
- Minimum 5-7 years developing strategies and solutions for resource circularity-related business, technology, and initiatives
- Experience in research, planning, and establishing processes
- Experience in bringing projects from idea to implementation
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements and concepts of resource circularity regulatory and compliance requirements and concepts of resource circularity.
- Knowledge of EV, environmental, sustainability, and recycling industries

- Strong enthusiasm for kaizen.
- Knowledge of fundamental resource circularity concepts, policies, initiatives
- Strong enthusiasm for, and knowledge of the automotive and it industry; including brands, products, and technology and demonstrate excellent planning, negotiating, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of automotive development disciplines, especially in R&D and manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to comprehend, identify and analyze policies that influence resource circularity strategies.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office is required, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence in interacting with all levels of management and executives.
- Driver's license required and ability to operate a diverse assortment of automobiles. Proficiency with manual transmission preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)

Provide supporting market data and analysis to allow Business Development Lead project implementation decisions to identify profitable business opportunities for product circularity.
