Description
This is a full-time, direct placement role at DEKA Service.The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems for residential customers. As a Residential HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of HVAC systems to maximize customer comfort and minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair residential HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, and heat-pump systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and develop solutions to resolve them.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation, including cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating motors.
- Install replacement units and repair ductwork and piping systems to ensure proper airflow and refrigerant circulation.
- Install and program thermostats and other HVAC control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
- Communicate with customers to explain the work to be performed, answer questions, and provide guidance on HVAC system operation and maintenance.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments related to HVAC systems.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or certification in HVAC or military equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in dispatched residential HVAC service.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including their design, operation, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Salary Description
$39.22/hr
