As a Resident Guest Services Representative, you will greet and offer assistance to residents and/or families and visitors entering the Senior Care Center. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. You will be responsible for:

  • Cordially greets and receives guest, ascertains their needs, and responds appropriately.
  • Refers guests and families to appropriate services, resources, and support as needed.
  • Performs well in stressful and emergency situations by remaining calm and acknowledging that the resident or visitor comes first. Notifies appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Answers the main Center telephone line during normal work hours and directs calls to the appropriate person.
  • Accepts payment from resident or responsible party for services, stamps each check "for deposit only", documents the payment on a daily ledger sheet, and forwards cash, checks, and ledger sheet to the Accounting Department for deposit.
  • Provides necessary information to the Administrative Assistant for disbursement from the Resident Trust Fund for items or services purchased by the resident such as personal supplies or cosmetology services.
  • Schedules residents' outside medical appointments and transportation based on requests received from Senior Care Center clinical staff.
  • Contacts responsible party or designated contact at least 3 days in advance of resident's outside medical appointment to provide them with information regarding the appointment. Instructs family to provide transport or schedules transport through contractor if the resident is on Medicaid, and informs responsible party/contact of transport.
  • Scans and faxes reports, admission packets, and resident appointments to appropriate personnel.
  • Collects and copies documents in a timely manner for daily morning meetings.
  • Updates database with information on collected daily floor census and 24 Hour Report documents.
  • Keeps track of the Visitor Restroom key. Ensures the key is in the Business Office and that the visitor bathroom is vacant and locked before leaving for the day.
  • Delivers and collects mail from the Health System's Brunswick Campus mail room twice daily; before 11:00am and again before 4:00pm.
  • Assists the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Administrative Assistant and others, when able, in accomplishing Senior Care Center projects and goals through clerical support activities.
