Overview TRC is a global consulting firm providing environmentally advanced and technology-powered solutions for the oil and gas, power and infrastructure markets. TRC serves a broad range of clients in industry and government (DOT), implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation. TRC is seeking a Full time candidate to serve as a Resident Engineer on a multi-year State DOT coastal project in Maine for the construction of a new (public access/use) roadway, parking area and boat dock near Lubec, Maine. Responsibilities Familiarity and experience with MaineDOT construction specifications. Utilize applicable ASTM and AASHTO construction and materials specifications Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications and project special provisions to verify compliance to material quality. Monitor and verify project layout/locations for work performed. Monitor concrete testing for compliance with specifications, placement, consolidation, finishing and curing. Monitor and document contractor time and materials used on project. Manage subordinate supplemental inspection staff Prepare and distribute weekly inspection reports detailing work performed. Process work order changes Communicate with contractor, subcontractors and DOT client as needed both verbally and in writing. Ability to use the following: Laptop computer, cell (smart) phone, scanner and printer Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, internet, report writing, file (photograph and other) attachments. Maintain professional conduct at all times Additional beneficial skill sets (respond/list as applicable) Familiarity with inspecting pile splicing (welding) Specific experience with projects constructed on water/waterway with respect to embankment, pile driving Qualifications 3 years minimum similar experience on new roadway construction with roadway/bridge projects that included significant embankment and pile driving Strong verbal and written communication skills Good Driving Record (driver license will be verified) Pass pre-hire drug screening/testing ACI EEO Statement TRC is an equal opportunity employer: disability/veteran.
