With a focus on tissue repair, improving surgical outcomes, autoimmunity and inflammation, genomics, new treatments, and precision medicine, the impact of our discoveries determine future directions of musculoskeletal research to best improve clinical outcomes, while serving the community in an environment that aspires to scientific excellence. Job Summary: An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Technician at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill-Cornell Medical College. The Research Technician will participate in translational research projects in immunology and autoimmune diseases. The research technician will use cutting edge molecular and genomic approaches, animal models, and patient-derived samples to study signaling pathways and molecular networks important for immune cell function. This position provides opportunities to develop independent projects and obtain training and experience relevant for graduate or medical school. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical field with coursework in biochemistry and cell and molecular biology. Experience: Prefer extensive hands-on lab experience including qPCR, flow cytometry, tissue culture, western blotting Some mouse work experience is preferred Additional Skills: Exceptional organizational skills Proficient use of computers and software, including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team Other Requirements Pay Range - Minimum USD $25.00/Hr. Pay Range - Maximum USD $26.50/Hr.
