Job Description The Research Specialist will support the Chemistry & Physics Department and Biotechnology Research and Training Center's mission by preparing materials for research, instructional laboratory courses and related laboratory, monitoring and maintaining laboratory and related materials inventories, collecting and storing chemical waste, assisting faculty in logistical matters pertaining to laboratory and related operations, assisting with Chemistry & Physics Department and Biotechnology Research and Training Center operations through contact with other departments on campus and coordinates with Research Operations Manager on safety and security issues. This lab position is 12-month. This position is designated as Mandatory Personnel: Employees whose presence has been determined to be mandatory to University operations during certain types of adverse weather or emergency events.
