HRL Laboratories seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to oversee on-time and on-budget execution of project tasks in the field of semiconductor device research and development. Supervisory Responsibilities:
The TPM will be chiefly responsible for managing project deliverables in semiconductor epitaxial growth, design layout, device fabrication, and device modeling. Deliverables include physical components, design tape-outs, design validation, and capability development; and customers are both internal and external. The TPM will maintain close coordination with subcontractors, collaborators, and vendors, including cost and schedule therein. The TPM will have a working knowledge of technical details and will manage risks/opportunities towards meeting schedule. Regular communication with internal program management and end-customer is expected. Essential Duties:

• Interface with internal and external customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders

• Establish and implement execution plans that address performance, schedule, and budget
• Manage interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders

• Work with line managers to secure sufficient staffing and equipment resources

• Provide periodic status of cost, schedule, and technical progress

• Ensure timely procurement, manufacturing, and validation of system components

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities - Seven (7) years general experience in technical project/program management within the semiconductor industry.

• Minimum two (2) years' experience managing development programs of $4M+

• knowledge of standard nanofabrication technologies including lithography, etch, deposition, cleans, metrology, and materials.
• Experience managing contracts with US Government customers

• Experience managing industrial subcontractors and supply chains

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written Required Education:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance; active TS/SCI is strongly preferred. Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $145,745 - $186,688 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
