Essential Functions Develops or assists in the development of complex project proposals, research, plans and protocols. Designs and/or conducts complex experiments and studies in pursuit of new knowledge, techniques and concepts. Assists with logistics of research to include equipment, materials, and labor needs. Collects data/samples related to own research as well as others' research. Records, processes and analyzes data/samples. Documents results in writing and presents results to others. Prepares research results for publication or presentation at conferences to include performing literature reviews. Serves as a supervisor to other researchers and students in area of expertise. May provide consulting to third party organizations related to research activities. May maintain projects, coordinate funding, and/or manage ordering and budgets. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Level I Doctoral degree in discipline appropriate to position and no experience. Level II Doctoral degree in discipline appropriate to position and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols. Level III Doctoral degree in discipline appropriate to position and 4 years of experience in research practices and protocols, including at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Level IV Doctoral degree in discipline appropriate to position and 6 years of experience in research practices and protocols, including at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications Minimum Skills and Abilities Minimum Technology Skills Minimum License and Certifications Desired Qualifications Desired Qualifications Experience with high throughput sequencing sample preparation and data analysis, preferably with single-cell or single-nuclei approaches, general molecular lab techniques, publication/verbal communication of research results (in the English language). Must be able to work collegially with others on large, multidisciplinary research projects.
