We are seeking a Research Associate WPIC to join the ETUDES Center. The combined goals of the position at the ETUDES Center are to assist with an accelerated program aimed at developing effective technological interventions to address adolescent and young adult depression and other mental health symptoms in pediatric primary care and community mental health settings. The position involves 3 different types of skill sets: 1) recruiting participants into the ETUDES Center studies, 2) working effectively in data management, and 3) conducting semi-structured clinical assessment interviews to ensure the timetable of project interviews is followed. This position is ideal for someone interested in complex systems, contributing to overcoming institutional and relational challenges aimed at organizational change in large health care systems, and flexible enough to deal with constant iteration of products and project goals as stakeholders of the Center identify problems and needs and the research investigators pivot to provide their expertise to address these needs. This position is grant funded. Clinical Interviewer Responsibilities: Assess suicidal risk and contact clinical supervisor and physician investigators when further assessment and intervention are needed. Participate in group supervision to refine risk assessment skills and make appropriate corrections. Act as a key team member in obtaining written consent forms, completing appointments, and collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s). Conduct in-person and telephone semi-structured interviews and clinical suicide-risk assessments and write descriptive clinical summaries (after necessary on-the-job training). Data Management & Other Responsibilities: Timely and accurate collection, scanning or entry in database, verification. Maintain tracking database and reliability standards related to data management and tracking. Assist with tracking study participants and reporting their progress based on study time line. Prepare participant files, complete follow up data checks and paperwork. Maintain confidentiality with all research related communication and documentation as directed by study leadership. Complete necessary training for data security, confidentiality, and participant payment practices. Complete and track participant payments. Assist the Project Coordinators as needed. Ensure that complete data projects are turned in promptly. Work effectively as part of a team and independently to maintain multiple Center activities are executed according to Center timeline. Attend and participate in all project-related meetings, including regular staff meetings, diagnostic conferences, and research team meetings. Recruitment Responsibilities: Recruit adolescents and young adults in person or remotely at research site locations. Develop recruitment strategies to meet project timelines. Monitor interaction with electronic/computerized/mobile applications interventions and ensure the safety and comfort of human volunteers during participation in this research. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required preferably in Psychology or related field. Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred. Familiarity with computers and common software packages required. Prior related work experience in a research setting preferred. 1-year behavioral health experience preferred. 1-year related research experience preferred. SCID-5 or other diagnostic experience preferred. Experience with young adult mentally ill population Experience with mental health diagnosis. Possess excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to enhance interest in the study and participant experience. Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
