Research Associate

Title : Senior Research Associate - Pre-Pivotal Biologics Development

Location: Oceanside, CA

100% on-site (there is no work from home/no hybrid)

Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30-AM - 5:00-PM or 8:00-AM - 5:00-PM type of business hours; occasional weekend hours (will have notice)

Duration: 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

" Participate in end-to-end Cell Line Development pipeline projects, including activities from vector design and construction to clonal cell lines ready for Master Cell Bank generation.

" Support CLD activities including clone selection, technology development, media development, process optimization, and process characterization studies.

" Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation.

" Hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and Client culture platforms.

" Contribute to written technical reports, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.

Education:

" BS (or MS) with 5+ years experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).

Qualifications/Skills:

" Experience with mammalian cell culture (CHO) and automation/high-throughput technologies for mammalian cell line generation and process optimization preferred.

" Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving.

" Strong organizational and planning skills.

" Experience in statistics and data analysis (e.g. JMP, Spotfire).
