The candidate will work on various projects in computational genomics, comparative, and evolutionary genomics. Job Description: Required Qualifications: Education: MS in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field Work Experience: 0-3 Years Skills: Strong command over GNU/Linux systems and toolchains, expert level knowledge in R, strong experience in one scripting language like Perl or Python, and basic familiarity with standard bioinformatics ecosystem Preferred Qualifications: Education: MS in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field Work Experience: 3+ years Skills: Extensive programming experience in multiple scripting languages, especially with a biological background Job Duties Outlined: Use programming knowledge to help shape the scientific environment and computational infrastructure of the division Contribute to applications for research grants Contribute to manuscript development for publication Aid in training other research associates, research assistants, graduate students, and other junior colleagues Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Required Documents: Resume/CV Cover Letter Contact information for three references Employee Type: Regular Time Type: Full time Rate Type: Salary Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 Minimum $50,000.00 Midpoint $61,000.00 Maximum $72,000.00
