Kyverna is recruiting a highly motivated Research Associate II, Translational Medicine in its Research organization to help advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory activities related to ongoing and future cell therapy clinical studies in rheumatology or neurology indications. The individual will be lab-based and work in a collaborative team-based environment. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of bioanalytical method development and execution in support of a clinical study including a solid foundation of working under GLP guidelines. The ideal candidate can comfortably execute multiparameter flow cytometry, ddPCR and MSD and/or ELISA platforms to interrogate samples and possess strong and demonstrated documentation skills summarizing their work. Responsibilities: Collaborate within the team and cross-functionally to perform laboratory activities related to Translational Medicine scientific deliverables Develop, qualify and implement assays to support clinical programs Independently perform sample analysis following SOPs and guidelines while maintaining meticulous records in accordance with company and health authority guidelines Perform data processing, analysis and interpretation based on company standards Support the preparation of data packages for Regulatory filings, publication and/or presentation Contributing to the general lab environment, including instrument maintenance, maintaining SOPs, software validation and inventory to ensure timely delivery of data. Contribute to internal and external scientific discussions Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree preferably in Immunology or Molecular Biology or in a related scientific discipline 2+ years' hands-on cell therapy, immunology, or related experience Willingness and ability to execute the analysis of critical samples outside of conventional business hours (individually and/or with immediate team) under strict timelines Experience with clinical biospecimen testing, assay development, and bioanalytical method qualification Experience with multiparameter flow cytometry, ddPCR and MSD platforms Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) Experience working under GLP/GCP conditions is highly preferred (candidates with this experience in academic settings are highly encouraged to apply) Self-motivated and enthusiastic person with meticulous attention for detail Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively Excellent verbal and written communication skills Eagerness to take on additional responsibilities when required; ability to cross-train to support ongoing activities within the organization Comfortable in a start-up environment and able to adapt to changing priorities Able to work effectively in a team setting and enjoy collaboration with others $85,000 - $110,000 a year The salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $110,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
