Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated student with growth and improvement mindset to join our drug product development team as a Co-Op Associate Scientist. This Co-Op Associate Scientist will be exposed to a wide variety of phsiochemical assays (U/HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, DLS, DSC, subvisible particle analyses) and drug product development processes (including clinical in-use studies, photosensitivity studies, protein deep characterization, and drug product stability studies), and work on sample testing, method transfer, optimization and development. Essential Job Functions Completes all required training (i.e. safety, equipment, OJT etc.). Performs job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and WuXi Biologics internal policies and guidelines. Designs and execute method and process optimization. Draft method or study protocols and reports. Perform physiochemical assay sample testing. Assist in project workflow to ensure on time delivery: from initial planning, experiment execution, to data analysis and review. Perform lab maintenance and operation tasks as assigned. Requirements Preferred current masters degree student (but outstanding bachelors degree students may be considered) in chemistry, biology, life sciences or related field. Hands-on experience with micro-pipettes. Detail-oriented, well-organized and efficient. Strong oral & written communication skills are required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to exhibit effective interpersonal skills. Ability to take on multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) Hand-on experience with U/HPLC is a plus The PD Drug Product Development Associate Scientist Co-Op position is well suited for: Students who are interested in learning drug delivery sciences in industrial settings.
