JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Family Disability Intersectionality CoLLab is seeking a part time research assistant to engage in research in special education. Primary Duties: focusing on strengths-based counternarratives incorporates a diversity of voices uplifts stories among underrepresented, multiply marginalized, and disabled individuals and their families. Qualifications: The ideal candidate has a strong and focused interest in family, disability, and intersectionality studies, particularly in the educational and community contexts. The candidate seeks to amplify scholarship that centers lived experiences, contributing to thoughtful written products that are accessible to researchers, practitioners, families, and disabled people. This project brings together a collective of authors, emerging scholars, and ethnographic storytellers to generate articles, books, book chapters, and other types of media. Part time research assistants will commit 1-2 hours per week, which may include writing, meeting, research, editing, and other team objectives in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
