Position Overview: As a Research Assistant (Management Analyst 3) at WABON, you will collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic recommendations for business process improvements, compliance enhancements, and response strategies to legislative and policy changes. Your insights, informed by data analysis and research findings, will be instrumental in shaping our efforts to maintain the highest standards of nursing care. In this role, you will provide expertise on departmental policies and procedures, ensuring strict adherence to regulations established by the Department of Health and WABON. Responsibilities Highlights: Analyze data to drive business process improvements and research, preparing comprehensive reports and implementing effective solutions. Provide technical support for internal and external research projects. Manage data facilitation procedures and ensure compliance with demographic data. Conduct special studies, collaborate with healthcare programs, and present findings. Assist in data cleaning, validation, analysis, and survey management. Support management in reviewing health legislation and policies, and monitor changes. Manage performance measures, data dashboards, and lead research projects. Support rules changes related to patient care quality and safety. Fulfill operational duties, including SharePoint administration and meeting participation. Provide backup support for communications and assist in website implementation. Work Location: This position is based in Tumwater, WA, and offers a flexible/hybrid work arrangement with the option to tele-work or utilize our modern drop-in workstations, while enjoying the occasional in-person collaboration opportunities. Required Qualifications The experience described below could have been gained concurrently and acquired through paid or unpaid activities. Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, law, public health, health administration, or a related field; AND one (1) year of experience conducting research and analyzing policies and laws. OR Option 2: Three (3) or more years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws. AND (also required) One (1) year of experience in the following: Drafting, proofing, editing, and presenting documents to be shared with the public. Examples include productivity reports, research findings, advisory opinions, or interpretive statements. Evaluating processes to propose improvements. Managing work projects. Using word processing software, such as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect, creating forms using templates; working with form fields; formatting and enhancing forms. Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing comprehensive data analysis, including report preparation and presentation using statistical tools. Experience in providing technical training and support to staff members on data management systems, software tools, and research methodologies, enhancing overall team capabilities. Regulatory Compliance Experience: Experienced in monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in healthcare settings. A master's degree in public health, health care administration, public or business administration, or allied field.
