SUPERVISOR: Chief Medical Officer HOURS: Varied between M-F 8:00am - 6:00pm

CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/Hourly/Non-Exempt TRAVEL / LOCATION: Barton (multiple as needed)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in relevant discipline (i.e., psychology, biology, social sciences); bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with MEDENT Electronic Health Record and REDCap secure web application preferred
  • Familiarity with research methods preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous research experience or coursework desirable
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to research priorities

JOB SUMMARY: The Research Assistant is responsible for working with the principal investigator in conducting various research projects. The role will involve assisting in data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and administrative tasks related to research activities. As of now, this is a temporary position (anticipated 9-12 months) to focus primarily on a research project related to maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Essential Job Duties

RESEARCH
  • Assist in collecting data primarily through chart reviews. May be asked to support other methods such as surveys or interviews.
  • Organize and enter collected data into databases or spreadsheets. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant information and summarize findings on topics related to the research project
  • Assist in analyzing research data using statistical software or other analytical tools. Help in interpreting results and preparing reports.

ADMINISTRATIVE
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the research team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining project documentation
  • Communicate effectively with team members, collaborators, and research participants, if applicable.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, manuscripts, and grant proposals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Exert up to 50lbs. pushing, pulling, or lifting. Walking and climbing stairs required. Able to talk/hear and communicate with others with or without reasonable accommodation.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to travel to sites while maintaining standards of safety and compliance with motor vehicle traffic laws. This position may require travel for necessary training and conferences.
