Position Title: User Experience Researcher

Pay Range: $55.37/hr on W2

SUMMARY:

The Onyx Research Data Platform organization represents a major investment by Client R&D and Digital & Tech, designed to deliver a step-change in our ability to leverage data, knowledge, and prediction to find new medicines.

We are a full-stack shop consisting of product and portfolio leadership, data engineering, infrastructure and DevOps, data / metadata / knowledge platforms, and AI/ML and analysis platforms, all geared toward:

Building a next-generation, metadata- and automation-driven data experience for s scientists, engineers, and decision-makers, increasing productivity and reducing time spent on data mechanics

Providing best-in-class AI/ML and data analysis environments to accelerate our predictive capabilities and attract top-tier talents

Aggressively engineering our data at scale, as one unified asset, to unlock the value of our unique collection of data and predictions in real-time

Onyx Product Management is at the heart of our mission, ensuring that everything from our infrastructure, to platforms, to end-user-facing data assets and environments is designed to maximize our impact on R&D. The Product Management team partners with R&D stakeholders and Onyx leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for all customer-facing aspects of Onyx, including data assets, ontology, Knowledge Graph / semantic search, data/computing/analysis platforms, and multi-omics applications.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced user researcher with data science or pharma tech related experience. You will be responsible for designing the study to targeted users, collecting and analyzing data from the UX research. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, engineers and scientific customers to drive user centric design decisions and enhance overall user experience and user success of our data products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop comprehensive user research plan aligned with Onyx product strategies;

Execute the user research studies effectively by engaging stakeholders in scientific dialogues to help Onyx product team understand users better;

Design a variety of user research methodologies, including user interviews, contecpt testing, usability testing, card sorting

Analyze customer feedback, and leverage data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancement initiatives;

Create persona maps, user journey maps and other artifacts to communicate research findings;

Understand current state of scientific workflows and identify use cases;

Work with product managers to translate user requests into actionable product requirements

Stay-up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies and the best practices in pharma tech and user experience research and share knowledge and the expertise with the team.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor s or Master s degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, data science, informatics, biology or a related scientific discipline with at least 3 years experience;

Proficiency in wide range of user research methodologies and techniques, including quantitative and qualitative research methods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in pharmaceutical industry, biotech industry and digital healthcare industry;

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights;

Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Tableau, and the ability to leverage user data and feedback to drive informed decision-making and product improvements.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, work effectively in cross-functional team environment;

Interpersonal skills and motivation to build relationships proactively with a wide, global network;

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment;

A foundation in biology is preferred, this includes understanding concepts such as target discovery, NGS, small molecule discovery, large molecule discovery .
