Job Summary
The Developer reports to a development Team Lead. As a vital member of the development team, the Developer supports the mission, vision, values, and customer service philosophy. In this role, the Developer is responsible for gathering business requirements, conducting discovery sessions, developing custom reports, and supporting clients. Developers may be asked to join prospective client calls and meetings to provide insight and feedback related to proposals.

To be successful, the person in this role must be innovative, motivated, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented, as well as possess the ability to communicate effectively, have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information in a compelling manner.

This position is remote and can reside anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop custom Yardi reports including, but not limited to, YSR Reports and SQL scripts and SSRS reports.
• Prepare development specifications and proposals.
• Define and document data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
• Recommend custom solutions to meet Yardi reporting needs.
• Execute project plans within time and budget constraints.
• Provide technical guidance and development support regarding Yardi Voyager software functionality.
• Understand and discuss the value of the solutions being implemented.
• Manage multiple development projects simultaneously according to the project plans.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal team members, software partners, and clients.
• Continuously seek growth opportunities to maintain advanced knowledge related to systems and technologies that affect our clients.
• Participate in work groups that support internal strategic initiatives by identifying opportunities to create efficiencies and design scalable processes and solutions.
• Communicate inefficiencies and recommendations for existing process changes in a tactful and effective manner.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Areas of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrate ability to diagnose problems quickly and consider a broad range of internal and external factors when making decisions.
• Experience using project management software.
• Superior communication, both written and verbal, the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Strong analytical and organizational skills coupled with the ability to work within deadlines and prioritize work.
• VBA knowledge
• SSRS technologies to create Yardi reports.
• Power BI
• Spreadsheet Server
• Git

Minimum Requirements

• 3 + years of experience in Yardi custom report development
• Experience using Transact SQL
• Bachelor's Degree (BA) in accounting, business, computer science, or a related area of expertise is preferred.
• A high degree of self-motivation, proven leadership, and the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills, with the ability to work within deadlines, prioritize work, and multi-task.
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 experience is required.
