Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily a full time removal technician role assisting the preparation team in responding to decedent first calls and getting decedents safely back to the funeral home in a company vehicle. This position is responsible to provide professional service to families of deceased and decedents. Duties will include removal of decedents, intake of decedents, facilities and equipment upkeep and preparedness. Assisting in all other various duties throughout the funeral home as requested as well as backup crematory operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. This position will require some on call work after hours.
  2. You will be required to contact the callers with ETA information as well as any other information. Y
  3. You will be expected to interact with all local authorities, first responders, coroner, etc. as well as grieving families.
  4. Response time to the funeral home is expected within 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. Professional demeanor is always required as well as business professional dress.
  6. Technician will be always prepared to assist with various funeral home duties including facility upkeep, vehicle upkeep, assisting with services and backup crematory operations.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Possess general office skills, such as typing, filing and knowledge of word processing software.
  • Cooperative, team player, detail-oriented and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to customer service and quality.
  • Efficient and dependable; punctual

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to work flexible hours to support business needs including weekends, evenings and an on-call rotation.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds

Basic computer skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate

Current state issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.
