Position summary: The relief operator is responsible for knowing and being able to perform, at any given time, any job on the line in order to be able to fill in when other employees are absent for breaks or vacations. Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred Skills and experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred Basic math skills required Good communication skills, written and verbal Forklift experience preferred Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment Essential duties: Proficient at every job on the cutting line Proficiency in operating all machines dealing with the cutting line (boxing machine, knife console panel, hydraulic pump, accumulator, sewing machine, tugger, palletizer, etc.). Keep production reconciliation paperwork when required Key required tuiles into TM07 when needed. Assist in problem areas at any station on the cutting line to ensure 1st quality and minimize downtime. Assist in repairing machines when needed. Give breaks as needed Maintain housekeeping Comply with safety rules Comply with environmental regulations Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Ensure ISO procedures are followed. Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability. Perform other duties as assigned Physical demands: Lifting up to 60 lbs. Standing throughout 8-10 hour shift Corrected 20/20 vision Able to climb stairs or ladder to access 2nd floor mezzanine Work environment: Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
