Rehab Technician

$3,000 Commitment Bonus - External Applicants Only POSITION SUMMARY: This position is based in the Residential Treatment Facility for Adults and is responsible for assisting the Rehabilitation Coordinator and Therapist in providing the necessary support and information needed to implement each clients' treatment plan. The incumbent also assists clients with daily activities, medication monitoring, management of daily tasks and providing transportation when needed. Crisis management and support is also an important function of this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Scale 1 High school diploma or equivalent; OR 2. Scale 2 Bachelors degree in a related field; or Associates degree in related field with two years full-time (or equivalent) related experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) with 18 months full-time experience as Rehabilitation Technician One (Scale 1) within the agency; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of related full-time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency; OR 3. Scale 3 Bachelors degree in a related field and at last 12 months experience as full-time Rehab Tech One and/or Rehab Tech 2 within the agency; or associates degree with at least 3 years of full-time direct care experience within the agency; or high school diploma with at least 4 years experience as Rehab Tech 1 and/or Rehab Tech 2 within the agency; or bachelors degree in a related field with 18 months of full-time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency; or associates degree in a related field with at least 30 months of related experience from outside the agency. 4. Effective communication skills, both written & verbal, organizational skills, knowledge of practical self-care skills & ability to work with minimal supervision. 5. Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities & implement support / recovery plans for their program participation. 6. Act 31/33/34 Clearance and FBI Criminal Background Check. 7. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
