Position Summary Position Summary The Rehabilitation Supervisor is responsible for the day to day direction and management of the assigned business unit, including the supervision of employees and department operations. Responsibilities Essential Functions Works alongside professional staff evaluating and treating patients according to professional standards of practice of their specific discipline. Interpersonal communications skills include the ability to lead, advise, instruct, inform, and listen to staff. Demonstrates judgment, and reasoning abilities to problem solve and create new opportunities for improvement. Responsible for assisting with budgeting, overseeing payroll, PIP plans, maintaining unit inventory, and participating in the hiring of employees. Responsible with Rehabilitation Manager for business assessment, growth, and development of a strategic business plan. Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions. The Rehabilitation Supervisor must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The Supervisor must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's /area's/department's policies and procedures. Participates in PIP, program development, student supervision, assigned committees, safety, and infection control as required. Demonstrates an awareness of legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Participates in corporate and divisional meetings. Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients. Schedules staff and patients appropriately and meeting with professional associates. Participates in community activities. Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor's degree Licensure/Certification Current license in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist or Speech Language Pathologist If, Speech Language Pathologist, must also have current Certificate of Clinical Competence. Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Experience Four (4) years' of related experience.
