Leads the daily activities of assigned specialty area. Acts as liaison between assigned departments, patient care units, and other medical personnel. Assists leadership with performance improvement activities. Works with age groups defined by clinical competency which may include neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.


  1. Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
  2. Licensed by the appropriate Georgia State Board.
  3. Three years' experience in licensed discipline, with at least one year experience in a hospital environment.
  4. ASHA, CCC for SLP required or if an Audiologist must meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology granted by the ASHA by either currently holding or previously holding certification.
  5. Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
  6. Must demonstrate ability to effectively coordinate and direct activities, procedures, and personnel.
  7. Must be certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation for all age groups.

PREFERRED:

  1. Previous leadership and/or project management experience.
