Certified Veterinary Technician Role Requirements
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.
Monday through Friday with a possible rotating Saturday.

Certified Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms.
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members.
Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
Competently perform dental prophylaxis
