Fifth Commandment Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry per diem.
General: The RN assigned to these areas provide direct and indirect nursing care, by contributing to the patient's assessment, determining priorities, identifying nursing measures and therapeutic objectives and evaluating outcomes. The position requires independent judgment and nursing actions, flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize an interdisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing care.
Organizational Relationship: The RN is subject to the professional direction of the Nurse Manager or designee during the workweek. On evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, the RN reports through the Charge Nurse to the Nursing Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities: RNs assigned to Telemetry shall provide services in accordance with the policies of the Facility. Nurses shall have professional and legal responsibility to the patient.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
- Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
