Nurse Mentor-Retired RN The OR Nurse Mentor is an experienced registered nurse of the interdisciplinary care team who works to improve clinical practice through mentorship and coaching. The OR Nurse Mentor establishes a caring relationship with a novice nurse as a trusted counselor, guide, role model, and teacher, while providing opportunities for personal and career development, growth, and support to the less experienced individual. The nurse possess and demonstrates advanced skills and expertise in the operative setting. The OR Nurse Mentor serves as a coach and mentors peer nurses using their advanced skill set and expertise while supporting the RN in their role.
