We are seeking a Cath Lab RN to join our Cath Lab Team. The Cath Lab Nurse is a professional Registered Nurse who is accountable for the delivery of quality patient care. Primary responsibilities include: Functions independently in the Cath Lab while using professional judgment in performance of all services. Keeps patients safe and calm while assisting physician/providers in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Accurately and promptly implements physician/provider orders. Circulates and records all cases done in the Lab and helps to recover patients. Acts in compliance with hospital policies/procedures. Provides care to patients in a calm, efficient manner. Required to and monitor patients in the Cath Lab with knowledge of sterile technique Knowledge of coronary and peripheral anatomy and vasculature Knowledge hemodynamic monitoring (venous and arterial) Required to take call Education requirements: program completion required; BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred Experience: 1 2 years nursing experience in practice setting in either Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting, will train to opposite competency Licensure: licensure in the State of Maine as a Registered Nurse or Compact Licensure. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
