Redbud Pediatrics is a physician-owned private practice with eleven clinicians and two locations in Wichita, Kansas.
We are looking for a registered nurse for a full-time or part-time position. We are a diverse, collaborative, multilingual, and independent group. Job Summary:
Registered Nurse will perform various clinical and administrative duties under the direction of Administration, Clinicians, and Clinical Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists with exams and procedures
- Administer vaccines
- Assess daily workflow needs
- Phone triage
- Referral coordination
- Provide patient education
- Phlebotomy
- Collect and perform basic lab tests
- Daily/ weekly/ monthly cleaning duties and up-keep of work space
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, HIPPA, & OSHA regulations
- Excellent assessment skills with the ability to exercise critical thinking in the clinical environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills a must - ability to communicate clearly with team members, medical professionals, those we serve, and their families.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program,
- Current State of Kansas RN license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and/ or PALS
- Two years of related experience working in a pediatric or hospital setting, ideally with medically complex patients.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking and bending
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted, 10 pounds frequently
- Must be up to date on required vaccines and receive yearly flu vaccine
