Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Job Requirements:
  • HCP's permanent address must be greater than 75 Miles from the work assignment location.
  • Up-to-date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU and documents travel experience.
  • 2 recent ICU Charge/Manager RN References
  • Skills Checklist matching specialty
  • Driver licenses with an address that matches the demographics
  • Current AHA ACLS , BLS, NIHSS
  • NURSYS Report Licenses verification with ACTIVE NY License
  • RTO MUST be included at the time of submission
  • EMR Exp Required: EPIC

Job Description:
  • Unit: ICU
  • Shift: Day 7p-7a (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
  • OT: After 48
  • RN Ratio: 1:1-2
  • Floating Required: Yes
  • Scrub Color: Navy

Unit Specifics:
  • Beds: 42 beds (East 20, West 22), Neuro/Med: 22, CTICU: 6, Surg/Trauma: 14
  • Floating required if needed: To all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
  • Common patient diagnosis: Neuro/Med -Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Resp Failure, CHF, Post Stemi
  • CTICU- CV surg, Cardiogenic Shock, AAA Surg/Trauma- Trauma, Major post-op sx
  • Drips and medications: Pressors- Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin,Dobutamine & Dopamine, Vasodilators- Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG ,Anti-arrhythmics- Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido Sedation- Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl,TPN and Insulin
  • Specialty equipment used on unit: IABP, CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage) Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun)
