South Bay Gastroenterology Medical Group is the oldest and most prestigious gastroenterology practice in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. Our teams of physicians are skilled at treating all aspects of digestive disorders and liver disease utilizing the most sophisticated and technically advanced methods. The practice is affiliated with the Endoscopy Center of the South Bay, the first state licensed free standing endoscopy center in California. Our state of the art facility is approved and certified by both Medicare and the State of California as an ambulatory surgery center (ASC). Virtually all gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures are performed at the Endoscopy Center of the South Bay including colon cancer surveillance. We are currently searching for a PRN Registered Nurse to work Mondays - Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: prepares patients for procedures; assist physician during procedure; provides care for patients in recovery and actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS, and have at least two years of registered nurse experience.
