REGISTERED NURSE- ADULT EMERGENCY CRISIS STABILIZATION UNIT

Gracepoint has been one of Tampa's largest behavioral and mental health facilities since 1949. We are currently hiring Registered Nurses for our adult emergency services/crisis stabilization program. This is a 60-bed inpatient care facility treating individuals suffering from behavioral, mental, and substance abuse disorders. Come Save Lives with us.

$3K SIGN ON BONUS
  • 20% additional Shift differential for Evenings and Overnight Shift
  • 12Hr Shift: 8:00 AM- 8:30 PM or 8:00 PM -8:30 AM
  • PRN Set Schedules available -minimum 4 shifts (including weekends) per month commitment
  • Double Weekends shifts are available

JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health disorders based on a systematized body of knowledge. Oversees care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians. Utilizes nursing process including assessment, identification of nursing problems, planning, execution, evaluation, and modification of nursing interventions as determined by patient outcomes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess the physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients.
  • Implement the plan of care based on nursing standards and practice.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of nursing interventions defined in the plan of care.
  • Ensure accurate and complete required documentation by Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Demonstrate competency in critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Monitor staff and continuous workflow of the unit.
  • Share professional and technical knowledge following policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an NLN-approved program
  • A minimum of one year of psychiatric mental and/or behavioral patient care experience.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
